These results are from a study that evaluated adults with HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer with an inherited BRCA mutation that was previously treated with chemotherapy. People with hormone receptor-positive breast cancer may have also received hormonal therapy.

In this study, 205 people took LYNPARZA and 97 received certain chemotherapies.

LYNPARZA helped prevent disease progression or death in more patients compared with certain chemotherapies

LYNPARZA lowered the risk of cancer growing or spreading, or death by 42% compared with certain chemotherapies.

52% of people who took LYNPARZA and 23% of people who received certain chemotherapies saw their tumors shrink. These data are based on patients with tumors that responded to LYNPARZA (87 out of 167) or chemotherapy (15 out of 66 patients).
