LYNPARZA is used as a maintenance therapy and can be taken alone or in combination with the medicine bevacizumab. Maintenance therapy is a treatment used after initial therapy has ended. It can help extend the time without cancer growing or returning.

Is LYNPARZA right for you?

LYNPARZA as a first-line maintenance therapy may be:

  • Taken in combination with bevacizumab if your advanced ovarian cancer has tested positive for HRD (homologous recombination deficiency) and has responded to your first treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy

OR

  • Taken alone if your advanced ovarian cancer has tested positive for a BRCA mutation and has responded to your first treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy

Your healthcare provider will perform a test to make sure that LYNPARZA is right for you.

LYNPARZA as a maintenance therapy may be appropriate if your ovarian cancer:

  • Has come back (also known as recurrent ovarian cancer)
  • Has responded to the most recent treatment with platinum-based chemotherapy
  • Has tested positive for a BRCA mutation

Your healthcare provider will perform a test to make sure that LYNPARZA is right for you.

Maintenance therapy may be an option

Ovarian cancer is a disease in which cells in the ovaries multiply and grow abnormally. This type of cancer is prone to recurrence, which means it can become resistant to chemotherapy or return after surgery and/or chemotherapy, even if you have no evidence of detectable cancer cells in your body.

After chemotherapy, you can expect to be followed closely with exams, tests, and/or scans. If you are eligible, you may also be prescribed maintenance therapy.

Maintenance therapy may help keep your advanced or recurrent ovarian cancer from growing or returning after you have had a response to platinum-based chemotherapy.

Without maintenance therapy, advanced ovarian cancer may return in about 70% of women within 3 years after their first treatment course, even in those who have no evidence of disease.

Maintenance therapy may also help preserve the progress you’ve seen on chemotherapy.

7 out of 10 women may have recurrence
